Cook Daniel Rueda and his wife, Natàlia Ferran, opened in 2010 a tapas bar they can be proud of. Good product, good prices and the hands of Daniel, trained in prestigious restaurants such as La Dama, Comerç 24 and Tapas 24. Tapeo is a small and friendly space the décor of which pays homage to the markets. In addition to the long bar that runs from the entrance to the back, the restaurant has a few high tables and one large table (10 seats).
Located in the back of the space, the open kitchen looks like a market stall. There, the chef creates his wonderful repertoire of tapas, from the most popular and traditional to the most creative ones.

Invest in Barcelona
Tapeo Anem de Tapes is among the top restaurants in the city. It specializes in Tapas cuisine. Some of the items served on Tapeo Anem de Tapes’ menu include both cold and warm varieties of tapas. Cold ones include cheese and mixed olives, while warm ones include items such as lamb in chocolate and chopitos (baby squid in battered and fried form).

Although Tapas are included on the starters of Spanish cuisine, they are the main focus of some restaurants such as Tapeo Anem de Tapes, which serve it as an independent cuisine. This is so because of the variety of items on the list of Tapas items. Like Montiel Restaurante and Con Gracia, Tapeo Anem de Tapes’ items are also highly priced with the average price for a complete meal being approximately $40. However, the price is totally worth it. The address of the restaurant is C/ Montcada 29, 08003 Barcelona, Spain. Before you visit the restaurant it would be a good idea to glance at its website where most of the items on its menu are listed. Click here to visit the official website.

My Table
The concept is fusion tapas, blending flavours from Catalunya with spices and herbs from the Middle East. It is tapas "with a twist" - exotic wonderful flavours and the freshest ingredients! The ambient is great, the place is cute and cosy and definitely off the beaten path... we also do live music (jazz and bossa nova) and wine-tasting sessions in English or Spanish. We have a wide selection of wines - from all over Catalunya and from Lebanon! Guitar music every wednesday.

Barcelona Life
Riding a current trend in Barcelona, that of serving foreign cuisine in tapas style bites, Ziryab has already proved to be a very popular with the adventurous taste buds of the travel community. Flavours from the Middle Eastern world have been fused together with those from Catalonia and Spain and the restaurant's menu consists of delights like bacon-wrapped dates and grilled halloumi (Arab cheese) with Spanish serrano ham. Finger lickin' good! Meanwhile their range of dips are surely the best west of Baghdad, from the minty hummous to the spicy muhamarra. Finally there's a wine list the likes of which you won't find elsewhere in Barcelona, with choice Lebanese wines complementing a selection from Catalonia's Penedes region. If you're picking holes then you could say that Ziryab can feel a little cramped when full and the service is a trifle slow... but it's hard to blame the restaurant itself for becoming popular.

This is a wine and tapas restaurant very original and innovative food, mixing Catalan and Arabic gastronomic culture
The restaurant concept is innovative, its aim is to bring together the rich and spicy flavours of the Arab world with the strong and varied tastes of Catalunya to give you a unique culinary experience, while enjoying a wide variety of carefully selected wines from the wine-growing regions of the Arab world and Catalunya. Ziryab offers a unique experience, unlike any other restaurants in Barcelona.
With a quiet and original atmosphere, with traditional Arab connotations, is ideal for families, friends and couples. If you like new experiences, innovate and try new taste this is your restaurant.

Bcn Restaurantes :
A gastronomic tavern with a very personal concept of tapas was born three years ago in Avilés (Asturias). The success of its creators, chef Fran Heras –he has worked with Ferran Adrià, Ramon Freixa, Sergi Arola, Angel Palacios or Jean-Luc Figueras- and his partner Eva Arbonés –maîre responsible for the place’s great in interior design- has led to the opening, in the end of 2012, of a new Llamber- this is how their two restaurants are called- in the heart of Barcelona’s Born. The restaurant is committed to seasonality, sustainability and proximity in order to offer honest cuisine with utmost respect for the product (most of which is from Asturias). The menu presents miniature haute cuisine with original and creative dishes that boast stunning presentations and moderate prices. The space, located in an old fruit warehouse, is a modern version of the typical Spanish tavern and welcomes us in a modern, casual and warm atmosphere, ideal to share a good time with the best company. The wine cellar has more than 30 different labels by the glass and about 150 labels.

Webflakes food & dining :
Ever since Llamber opened in Barcelona, after its success in Avilés, there has been a procession of journalists and articles that, generally speaking, gave their approval of this gourmet tavern.... The menu’s dishes and “tapas” (snacks) are made to match a diner’s expectations of perfection: quality products in a warm environment, at an acceptable price. Logically the menu had no shortage of cheeses of all kinds, potatoes with “cabrales” sauce, angler fish, chorizo cooked in cider, scorpion fish pie with tartar sauce, a buttery “fabada” with its meaty accompaniment that you’ll eat until you resemble a boa constrictor, escallops with “cabrales” sauce, rice with milk and spicy cheeses from Asturias, all of them evoking butter, caverns, prairies, and rain...

OK Visit
Lets face it, when most tourists come to Spain, they're looking to have at least one fantastic tapas experience. Not only does this restaurant offer just that, but it's also located in the ever-trendy Born district of Barcelona. It's a very creative style of tapas that actually makes more traditional styles of tapas look quite boring. Add this one to your list!

Time Out
This one is a gastrobar, or it may be more correct to call it a tapas restaurant with a distinctly Asturian flavour. The menu is very personal and creative, and there's no fussy messing-about with molecules. Try the anchovies with sweet bread and Asturian cheese, or an amazing octopus au gratin with smoked cheese. There's also a vast selection of wines by the glass to fit all budgets.

Barcelona.com
Santa Maria is a rare place. Tapas here are extremely creative, cooks from Ferran Adrià's school will surprise you with their imagination. A delight to taste all the tapas with the tasting menu at 17 and 27euros... Beautiful people's canteen. Always full, you better book... We passed by again in May 2011 the menu did not change a whole. They fall asleep a little on their reputation. Caution.

Fodors
A combination of cutting-edge industrial design, with exposed ducts over medieval stone walls, and innovative tapa creations keeps Santa Maria thriving. The kitchen's inventions have even lured in Barcelona's leading chefs to dine on anything from espardenyes (sea cucumber) to escamarlans amb salicornia (prawns with saltwort) and ancas de rana (frogs legs).

Barcelona Guide
Santa Maria serves delicious tapas using traditional ingredients and techniques...but don´t get too comfortable. Their menu is highly creative, as the cooks from Adrian Ferra´s school are always looking for new ways to create new flavours. And the results are always good. If, like us, you find it hard to choose, try the discovery menu which will only cost you 36 euros. Catalan classics are mixed with Japanese flavours. Seaweed is served with fish with sweet rice vinegar, eggs with caviar, salmon with leeks and wasabi patatoes, and the desserts on offer include coconut-soaked bread with a strawberry infusion and she-chuan peppers. The decor is chic, with clean lines and iconic images, attracting a young professional crowd. Make sure you book in advance.

Nile Guide
Celebrity chef Pedro Guzman bought an old store and transformed it into Santa Maria, a hip restaurant serving delicious Spanish cuisine. Although a Catalan menu dominates Pedro's culinary preparations, specialties from other parts of the world can also be tried out at this restaurant. The menu, although quite imaginative, does not change very often. So expect a little monotony if you visit regularly.

60 x 80
Situated near Carles Abellán’s Comerç 24, run by another of Ferran Adrià’s El Bulli alumni and also serving small, innovative tapas-like dishes (but cheaper with a greater chance of an available table), it’s easy to describe this as the runner-up choice. Comparing the two, however, is unfair as that’s where the similarities end. Whereas the dining experience at Comerç 24 can feel a bit formal and theatrical, Paco Guzmán’s joint is a noisy, busy tapas place that just happens to serve up wonderful, fancy food on the side.

In 2001, Cata 1.81 was born to become the perfect place to enjoy wine. Today, the cuisine of this space run by Santi Olivella falls short of its fantastic wine cellar, which includes about 400 references. The menu offers excellent cuisine, creative and quality in the form of tapas and dishes, keep abreast of cutting-edge trends and based on Catalan cuisine, although there are some proposed standard size. In addition, there are three very interesting tasting menus.
Cata 1.81 welcomes us, after the remodeling it has undergone in mid-2011, in a larger space and an atmosphere perfect for quiet evenings either for couples and groups (the restaurant has actually a private room for 20 people).

Cata 1.81 is a tiny tapas bar recognized by the splendid wine selection. The tapas served as platillos (group dishes) are incredible and imaginative.
We recommend the degustation menu containing 7 tapas and 2 desserts. A nice way to check the latest trends of the house…
