An old wine cellar with over seventy years of history is today one of the most popular tapas bars in the centre of Barcelona. Located on Rambla Catalunya -where it has a nicet terrace-, La Bodegueta is a landmark venue run since its origins by the Reboll family, that has a second restaurant also in the area.
An an authentic and traditional atmosphere -busy at all times- with a wood bar, marble tables and wine bottles everywhere, the offer is based on classic recipes in order to offer –all day with no interruption- an impeccable selection of warm tapas as well as Iberian ‘embutidos’, cheeses and other recommendable proposals.
At lunch time, we can also go for a set menu featuring simple homemade dishes cooked, like everything else, with good ingredients.

Fodors
If you can find this dive (literally: it's a short drop below sidewalk level), you'll encounter a warm and cluttered space with a dozen small tables, a few spots at the marble counter, and lots of happy couples drinking coffee or beer, usually accompanied by the establishment's excellent pa amb tomaquet (toasted bread with squeezed tomato and olive oil) and either Manchego cheese, Iberian cured ham, or tortilla de patatas (potato-and-onion omelet). The other Bodegueta across the intersection at Carrer Provença 233 is more spacious, equally good, and above ground. (map)

Frommer's
Founded in 1940, this old wine tavern is one of the more authentic options on ritzy Rambla de Catalunya. It specializes in Catalan sausage (botifarra), salamis, and cheeses. Wash them all down with draft vermut or inexpensive Spanish wines from the barrel. It's loud, no-nonsense, and a favorite with students.

Barcelona Guide
La Bodegeta, a former wine bodega, is a typical and well known tapas bar in Barcelona. Situated right on the pedestrian street Rambla Catalunya you can enjoy your tapas outside in the summertime. The basement local might have an old look, but is always full of a nice mix of customers of all ages. If you want to eat prime-quality tapas and drinking reasonably priced wine, La Bodegeta is your choice.

Ok Visit
This restaurant located on Rambla Catalunya has a very lovely terrace. The interior however is a little shabby as it's slightly claustrophobic and uncomfortable, so it's recommended you eat outside if possible, which is fine in the winter too as they have stoves. The strongest point is that it has a very authentic tapas menu. The fried eggs are really good (they price almost doubles though if you want it with ham or foie), chorizo cooked in wine, classic peppers, and the standard galician style octopus. The average price here is about 25 euros per person.
