Founded over three decades ago in an alley next to Rambla del Raval, El Cafetí is a charming restaurant the ambience of which takes us back to the early twentieth century.
The ‘noucentista’ decoration, along with the candlelight and classical background music, make the restaurant an ideal place for special occasions, either for couples or groups (it has one private dining room).
With rice dishes as the house’s specialties, Antonio Fragoso offers excellent traditional Catalan cuisine made with good market produce that enjoys a good reputation in the area. The homemade desserts are also worth mentioning.
The interior is from the XIX century but it has a contemporary cooking. They mix market products with the most innovating tastes. Famous rice specialities: paella, arroz con marisco, con conejo... They have long opening hours! ;)
A 12€ menu is served during the week at lunch time.
