If it was true that maturity comes with age, then Santi Colominas and Sandra Baliarda's Toc wouldn't be a reality. After spending some time in Llavaneras, the young couple moved in 2005 their headquarters to Barcelona's Eixample, where a young team dedicates body and soul to offer a captivating contemporary Catalan cuisine and impeccable service.
Sandra welcomes us in a relaxed space that presents a tasteful. original and modern decor. The restaurant, divided into two floors, has private rooms for groups, although it is also suitable for quieter and more intimate dinners.
In the kitchen, restless Santi puts everything into offering us Catalan cuisine with a special touch. Deep rooted to traditional flavours and cooked with well selected top quality ingredients, the cusine at Toc is innovative in the preparations and a real treat for our senses. If we follow the sommelier Ana de Lamadrid's advice, then the experience will be completely inexplicable.
With no doubt, contemporary Catalan cuisine has in Toc one of the great represenatives in Barcelona.

A very stylish vintage restaurant in the heart of Eixample. Restaurantoc creates a feeling like visiting somebody elses home by the choice of colors and furniture and the fact that you have to ring the buzzer for someone to open the door for you and let you in. The chef, Santi Colomitas, invites you to try some of the most innovative examples of the modern Catalan cuisine. Traditional plates are being transformed, updated and sweetly decorated, like the Figs with Duck Liver & Pine Nuts and Ratafia. Restaurantoc also provides a modern selection of wines.

Frommer's
This cool Eixample gourmet haven, run by genial maitre d' Sandra Baliarda and dynamic chef Santi Colominas, provides some of the most delicious traditional concoctions in Barcelona. Dishes range from mouth-watering entrees esqueixada (salad made from shreds of cod drenched in olive oil) and escalivada (a ratatouille-like blend of grilled peppers and eggplants/aubergine) to salmonetes con calçots i coliflor (red mullet with Catalan scallions and cauliflower) and pechuga de pichón de sangre y pate trufado con queso (white breast of pigeon with truffled pâté and cheese). For dessert try exquisite pan y chocolate con aceite y sal (bread and chocolate with olive oil and salt). There's a great wine selection, from vintage Riojas to lesser known Jumillas, supervised by top sommelier Ana López de Lamadrid.

Toc restaurant is located in the Right Eixample in Barcelona and is well connected, it's next to the underground stop of Girona.
Its cuisine is specialized in contemporary Catalan cuisine with a creative touch. Some of his most notable dishes are cod brandade ravioli or crema catalana, among others.
Toc restaurant's decor also draws attention for its minimalist design, which is the perfect accompaniment to intimate and relaxed evenings, whether with a partner or friends.
At the Toc restaurant you can also enjoy a wide range of wines, wines not only import but also Catalan.


Time Out
High-flying bistronomics, and not only for the excellent pigeon dish they serve. You couldn’t ask for anything more than the lunchtime sampling menu. Unmissable!
