Bcn Restaurantes
If we had to make a list with the landmark restaurants in Barcelona, Roig Robí would definitely feature in it. The restaurant, located close to Diagonal and a few metres away from Via Augusta, has been in the city’s dining scene for over twenty years with worth mentioning perseverance.
Mercè Navarro -founder of the restaurant- counts with her sons help to offer impeccable Catalan cuisine, perfectly presented and very well served. The menu features dishes such as cod with caramelised onion and beans "del Ganxet", so wisely cooked that it will melt in our mouth.
The hustle of the two streets that surround the restaurant vanishes as soon as we take Séneca street and actually, entering Roig Robí will feel as if time stops in order to make us enjoy a moment of peace -also thanks to a garden full of plants located in the very same ground floor the restaurant is placed at.

With all these ingredients, it is needless to say that Roig Robí is not a restaurant suitable for all the publics, but it is indeed the perfect choice for a treat from time to time.

Fodors
Rattan chairs and a garden terrace characterize this simple-yet-polished dining spot in the bottom corner of Gràcia just above the Diagonal (near Via Augusta). Rustic and relaxed, Roig Robí (ruby red in Catalan, as in the color of certain wines) maintains a high level of culinary excellence, serving traditional Catalan market cuisine with original touches directed by chef Mercé Navarro. A good example? The arròs amb espardenyes i carxofes (rice with sea cucumbers and artichokes).

Frommer's
This restaurant -- in Catalan, the name means "ruby red," the color of a perfectly aged Rioja -- serves excellent food from an imaginative kitchen. Although I'm not as excited about it as I once was, it remains one of the city's most dependable choices. Order an aperitif at the L-shaped oak bar, and then head down a long corridor to a pair of flower-filled dining rooms. In warm weather, glass doors open onto a verdant walled courtyard. Seafood specialties include bacalao a la "llauna" (cod served with broccoli purée) and rape y almejas con cebolla confitada (monkfish with clams and onion confit). A mouthwatering dish is tartare de lubina y langostinos con caviar de trucha (sea bass and crayfish tartare with trout caviar).

Roig Robi restaurant, located in the heart of Barcelona and within walking distance of Diagonal Avenue, offer a Catalan cuisine of the best quality and taste, both in carte and in the menus offered, in an atmosphere of relaxation, warmth and delicacy difficult to equal.
Roig Robi's cuisine consists of the mixture of the traditional Catalan food with modernity and innovation, thus resulting in dishes like potato and mussels salad with Romesco sauce, or the cod with chickpea stew. There is also a large wine cellar that will give the magic touch to dinner.
For 30 years, Roig Robi has been enlarging its legend to become a classic with its timeless elegance and charm, topped by a cuisine of traditional roots and surprising results. And now, in summer, nothing better than enjoy its delicacy in the restaurant’s fresh terrace.

Barcelona Guide
With a romantic conservatory terrace garden, good service and top quality dishes, it is understandable why Roig Robí restaurant is so popular. It´s expensive, but you won´t be disappointed with the exquisite Catalan cuisine on offer, most notably its variety of cod dishes such as cod with beans "del ganxet" or the traditional esqueixada cod with soft round rice. Alternatively try the monkfish, clams and king prawns with crystallized onions. The decor is rather old-fashioned but classic, and it has an inviting atmosphere.

Nile Guide
Traditional Barcelona cuisine with modernist touches is what you'll find here in this quality restaurant with efficient service. Its selection of wines is notable (from Catalunya and Rioja), as is their choice of Cava (Spanish sparkling wine). As for food, be sure to try the delicious Chicken with Riesling or the Leg of Young Lamb Stuffed with Apples and Foie. Decorated with a peculiar and evocative style, the atmosphere is Modernist without being too baroque. There's a nice indoor patio available in summer, as well. The attractive menu has been designed by the artist Antoni Tàpies.

Time Out
A plain, honest cuisine that has inherited all the flavours of Catalan cuisine, revising and updating them in accord with today’s tastes. Truffles, mushrooms and asparagus are just some of the products they purchase directly from producers to make tasty dishes such as Iberian suckling pig confit with quince.
